Computer Information Management is focused on intersecting management and technology. The curriculum was built on the conviction that in future markets, firms will rely on technology as the source to maintain a sustainable competitive advantage. Our mission is to develop technically sophisticated business leaders who are prepared to guide organizations in the integration of technology for new products, new systems, and new businesses.
In contrast to the more traditional Information Systems discipline, Computer Information Management incorporates the development and interrelation of computers, networking, telecommunication, business, and technology management. Northwood University believes that society will be increasingly dependent on information technology, and the demand for IT professionals will remain high for decades.
Core requirements include thirty-six credit hours of computer science. Any unduplicated MIS or transferred computer course can be counted toward the Computer Information Management major. See the campus registrar or Academic office for a specialized degree plan.
