Previously...

In 2001, the Town & Campus friends organization agreed to mentor the Fashion Marketing & Management students in a major project. Their cumulative experience, expertise in organization, and diligence in action, created the first Style Show at Northwood. The stage and foundation was built and in 2002, the first Northwood University Style Show became reality.

With less than 200 attendants in the NADA, the first style show was considered a great success. Realizing, even after one year, that the potential for growth was obvious, the Hach Center became the perfect venue for this growth and expansion. It was then that the official name "NU Style Show" was announced. The "NU Style Show" boasts attendance upwards of 300 in more recent years and continues to grow.

Currently...

It now takes the efforts of up to 20 committee members approximately nine months to prepare for the event. Students from every major on campus participate and models have numbered from 50-75 in any given year. Our attendance has risen greatly over the years and we've experienced an average attendance between 200 and 300.

This completely student-produced event is truly the highlight of the year for the Northwood students and will continue to provide an excellent "hands-on" learning opportunity for years to come.
