Leadership Changes at DeVos
In June 2007 Northwood University President Keith A. Pretty announced Dr. Timothy G. Nash would assume the role of Vice President of Graduate and Special Programs/Dean of the Richard DeVos Graduate School of Management. This is a newly created position for Northwood University. Dr. David D. Long, who has served as Chancellor and COO, will fill the role of Provost and Chief Operating Officer of the Michigan campus vacated by Dr. Nash. Dr. William T. Busby will transition to Dean Emeritus and holder of the Major General William C. Lewis, Jr. Professor of Business Administration Endowed Chair.
Dr. Busby joined Northwood University in 1992. He has served as both a faculty member and Dean at DeVos in his distinguished tenure. As Dean of the DeVos Graduate School, he was instrumental in establishing a leadership successor plan and maintaining growth of its faculty and programming. He also took the lead in establishing the first board of governors of DeVos as well as its advancement efforts. Busby has been invaluable in the continued growth and development of the MBA programs at Northwood University domestically and abroad. As holder of the Major General William C. Lewis, Jr. Professor of Business Administration Endowed Chair, Dr. Busby will continue teaching at all levels of the graduate school.
Dr. Timothy Nash came to Northwood in 1980 and held the position of Provost of the Michigan campus since 2004. Prior to his appointment as Provost, Dr. Nash served as Dean and COO of the Richard DeVos Graduate School of Management from 2001-2004. He and his wife, Pam, reside in Midland and are the parents of four children, Catherine, Elizabeth, Rita, and Joseph. We welcome Dr. Nash back to the graduate school and are enthusiastic about the impact his leadership will bring.

Back to TopAlumni Networking Reception

DeVos alumni Christine Helmes and Lambros Skoutelas were on-hand during the Lansing Networking Reception, August 1.
As we continue to engage you our alumni and friends, the DeVos Graduate School of Management hosted a special DeVos "Networking Night" at CHAMPPS Restaurant and Bar in Lansing, MI, on August 1. The event was well attended and served as a terrific vehicle for our new Evening MBA students, set to begin their studies this fall, to interact with current students and alumni from the Lansing area. These new MBA candidates were able to network with their future classmates as well as gain valuable insight from current students and alumni from the Lansing region.
The event was a tremendous success and we anticipate hosting another event of this nature for those that were unable to attend in August. If you have suggestions or ideas regarding the location of our next Lansing area "Networking Night," please feel free to contact Brandi Cramer at 989.837.4425 or via email at devosalumni@northwood.edu.
We hope to see you there!
