 Volunteer Opportunities

On Saturday, February 14, 2009, from 11:30 am - 5:00 pm, the Northwood University Chapter of Business Professionals of America (BPA) will host the 2009 Post-Secondary State Leadership Conference. More than 100 students from nine different schools will be competing in more than 40 different competitions consisting of Information Technology, Financial Services, Management/Marketing/Human Resources, and Administrative Support.

We have hosted this event in the past and have had great success. However, every year is a struggle to find individuals who are willing to serve as judges or graders at our conference.  Many of the assessment events require the students to demonstrate skill proficiency during demonstrations, oral presentations, and/or interview simulations. To create a business experience as realistic as possible for these students, we would like to encourage Northwood alumni and other business and industry representatives to volunteer for this event. Therefore, we would like to invite you to share your many talents and participate as an assessment event judge or grader.

If you and/or any of your friends or colleagues would be interested in participating or if you have any questions or would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact us via e-mail at bpa@northwood.edu.

Thank you in advance for your support and we look forward to hearing from you!

Brandon Strong, President, Northwood University Chapter
Julie Felske, Alumni Director and BPA Advisor
John Dexter, Professor and BPA Advisor
Karyn Maiorana, Admissions Representative and BPA Advisor
