Serving Those Who Serve All

As those in business know well, genuine success in business and in life requires re-directing our attention to others. As the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 26 reminds us, there is no better example of “focus on others” than the fallen members of our military.

One of the many ways we at Northwood University honor those who gave everything is through our commitment to educating America’s military service members, veterans, and spouses.  That is why we received designation as one of the top 15% of “military friendly” universities, colleges and trade schools in the U.S. And, consistent with our 55-year history, our goal is to build on this by strengthening the service we provide to our military students system wide.

Memorial Day reminds us all freedom is truly not free. While we cannot undo the ultimate sacrifice so many made, we are steadfast in our pledge to serve those who have sworn an oath to the rest of us—including, if needed, their lives.

Let’s all take time this weekend to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day.

Have a great weekend.
