Ivy Tech Agreement Highlights Our "Transfer Friendly" Status

Transfer students have always been an important part of the Northwood University student body. This is particularly true in our Adult Degree Program (ADP) where over 90% of the students who enroll in our programs have attended other colleges or universities.

One of the ways we are building on this success is by growing our community college partnerships. For example, we currently offer our Adult Degree Programs onsite at five community colleges and, during the past academic year alone, 25% of our new ADP students came from these same institutions. And 31% of our traditional students in 2013-14 were transfers from other institutions.

Another way we are expanding our reach and impact in this market is by expanding our articulation agreements with partners such as Ivy Tech Community College. Headquartered in Carmel, Indiana, Ivy Tech CC has 31 campuses throughout the Hoosier State serving nearly 200,000 students annually. Today, I am happy to report, we entered into an agreement to assist students who want to complete a bachelor’s degree in business administration or hospitality administration at Northwood after attending Ivy Tech CC.

Efforts like these are just one more way we are doing all we can to expand and solidify our global footprint. Thank you to all the staff who were instrumental in getting this agreement completed so quickly.

Have a great weekend.
