Study Abroad Programs Benefit Students, Faculty, and Brand Awareness Among the many value-added offerings at Northwood University our Study Abroad Program possesses an increasingly important role. Exposing our students to businesses, industries, and cultures around the world, while promoting Northwood University globally, is at the core of our mission “to develop the future leaders of a global, free enterprise society.” Northwood’s Study Abroad efforts fall into three basic categories: NU Exchange programs, NU Faculty-led programs, and our Young Presidents’ Organization-World Presidents’ Organization (YPO-WPO) partnership. In addition, we are working with Dean of International Programs Mamiko Reeves and her team to explore the option of hosting YPO members as guest speakers on our campuses system wide. At present, Northwood is involved in exchange programs with the following institutions in the corresponding countries listed:
In addition to the above, we are examining whether to expand our offerings to include more universities in Spain as well as study options in South America and South Africa. Finally, following successful programs in Belize and the Dominican Republic this academic year, Northwood will host the following faculty led study programs through the fall 2013 semester:
