On January 9, 2014 Northwood University Florida will host the Palm Beach Outlet Mall Career Fair. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the university's Countess de Hoernle Student Life Center located at 2600 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, 33409.
Expected to draw over 5000 job seekers vying for approximately 1500 full and part-time jobs, retailers will be on hand to interview candidates who are seeking positions ranging from sales associates to management.
“We are pleased to host this important community event on our campus,” said Northwood University President Dr. Tom Duncan. “As a business university, we are excited to partner with the Palm Beach Outlet Mall as it prepares to add over a thousand new jobs to the West Palm Beach economy.”
The event will provide Northwood Florida significant publicity and offer opportunities for its faculty to share expertise with media relating to such things as top tips for job seekers, and how construction of the new mall and stores will affect Palm Beach County economically, and more. President Duncan added, “We also will be sharing with the thousands of job-seekers information on the academic programs at Northwood Florida – undergraduate, adult degree, and our MBA programs – and we will also give away tickets to Seahawk basketball games and other Northwood events.”
Says Palm Beach Outlets General Manager, Jim Roberts, “Palm Beach Outlets will create over a thousand jobs in the local market. The New Year will bring new opportunity for so many in our community.”
Over 100 stores will be hiring at the new outlet center. Some of the stores participating in the job fair include, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, J.Crew | Crewcuts Factory, Tommy Hilfiger Company Store, Aerosoles, Gap Factory Store, Rawlings Sporting Goods, Destination Maternity and more.
Located directly off Interstate 95 on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Outlets is being developed by a partnership of New England Development and Eastern Real Estate. Redevelopment of the property began in January 2013 and is expected to be completed on schedule for grand opening activities starting February 14, 2014. The investment by New England Development and Eastern Real Estate will make Palm Beach Outlets the premier outlet shopping attraction in the Palm Beach market. An estimated 1,500 full and part time permanent positions in retail management and sales are projected to be created as a result of the redevelopment of Palm Beach Outlets which will consist of brand favorites including: Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, J. Crew | Crewcuts Factory, Ann Taylor Factory Store, Banana Republic Factory Store, Kenneth Cole, Talbots, Under Armour Factory Store and White House | Black Market.
