Northwood University students posed as mannequins in Midland’s downtown store windows on Thursday, October 10. This was the 36th year that students in Northwood’s Fashion Marketing & Management program led the event cosponsored by the Midland Downtown Development Authority. The public enjoyed the many decorated windows and the wonderful fall evening.
While the fashion students chose the theme, “Mystical Illusion,” the way each group interpreted it left for a wide range of imagination. The windows were graded and judged in categories. The winners are below:
Best Props: Journeys “Alice in Wonderland” with models Sophie Adams, Hannah Stine and Kelsey Lenkowski.
Professor’s Choice: Lil Pear Tree “Miss America” with models Mary Nickels and Gwinan Weber.
Most Original: Amazing Deli “Wild West” with models Meagan Riley and Mikayla Lechenet.
Most Creative: Serendipity “Venice Masquerade” with models Adam Thomas, Laura DuBay, Gizelle Young, Stanton McAtee and Sarah Anderson.
Most Artistic: Willow “Alice in Wonderland” with models Morgan Ulseth and Amelia Jaskiewicz.
Best Theme: Health Hut “Poker” with models Mitch Schafer and Frank Shea.
Best Color: All “Alice in Wonderland” windows.
Best Model: Chemical Bank “Alice in Wonderland” with model Jaclyn Suchta.
Best Overall: Health Hut “Vegas Wedding” with models Nick Budka and Meagan Goucher.
