CEDAR HILL, Texas – In the latest preseason coaches' poll, the Northwood Men's soccer team was picked to finish 9th out of the 11 members of the Sooner Athletic Conference. The Knights received 33 out of the possible 100 points, while the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma was the unanimous decision at the top of the preseason poll collecting 10 out of 11 first place votes and all 100 possible points.
“I am looking forward to the season because we will have a new challenge in the Sooner Athletic Conference,” said Men’s Head Soccer Coach, Nasko Arsov. “Some key players to keep an eye out for are: Zakre Silva – Goalkeeper, Guilherme Sampio - Midfielder and Ulysses Mendoza – Midfielder,” he continued.
The Knights will open the 2013 regular season at home against St. Thomas on August 30th at 6:00 PM and will start SAC play on September 27th against Texas Wesleyan. Coach Arsov and the Knights will also get the privilege of playing the highly rated Drovers at home this season on October 15th.
