CEDAR HILL, Texas – Squire Camp and Welcome Week are two exciting weeks that signify the beginning of the school year.

Squire Camp is the official welcome for new Knights to learn what it means to be a Knight and the values and ethics of Northwood University.  Thursday the university held a new student meeting for the new Knights. Friday the students had a blast at the Mt. Lebanon Ropes Course followed by a bonfire and an Ethics Ceremony. Saturday was a student information session followed by an outing at Dave and Busters that night. Sunday they were able to explore the city of Cedar Hill and they all had a great time taking part in a Softball game that afternoon.

Northwood University Texas Campus Knights also had an action packed Welcome Week.  Monday they were treated to donuts before class. Tuesday an ice cream truck visited the campus to give away free ice cream and the Knight Spirit Shirt was unveiled.  Wednesday the students had fun at the annual Northwood Fall Casino Night.

Thursday morning we officially began the school year by taking part in Convocation with Texas President, Dr. Kevin Fegan, Northwood University System President, Keith Pretty and Dr. Kristin K. Stehouwer, EVP and CAO of the Northwood University system.  That afternoon the Knights were able to explore what organizations the Texas campus has to offer.  Friday the students will begin to start working on service hours with the Adopt-A-Highway Program which will take place on FM 1382 in front of the university.
