Century Club

What is the Timberwolf Recreation Century Club?

It is a wellness program designed to encourage and reward active lifestyles. Participants that document regular physical activity will be awarded with Century Club Prizes.

Who is eligible to participate?

Anyone that is a member of the Hach Student Life Center can participate. All participants must fill out a PAR-Q and disclaimer forms.

What type of physical activity is acceptable?

Aerobic/cardiovascular or strength training exercise is acceptable. Here is a list of activities that are acceptable:

Aerobic:
  • Treadmill: walking/jogging
  • Stationary biking/spinning
  • Aerobics*
  • Stairmaster
  • Swimming
  • Track: walking/jogging
Strength Training
  • Weight machines**
  • Free weights**
  • push-ups/ pull-ups**

* 1 hour = 3 miles
** 100 repetitions = 1 mile

What records do I need to keep?

Every time that you engage in an acceptable form of physical activity in the Hach Center put an "X" in the box for each mile completed on your progress chart (provided).

What do I do with my records?

Sign your records and have a fitness center staff member sign and date your progress chart as well. Turn in your forms to the Hach Center front desk.

What can I win?

If you document a minimum of 100 miles you are eligible for a prize. At the end of each term, prizes will be awarded according to the amount of miles you have completed. Miles will accumulate throughout the school year.

  • 100 miles = Northwood University water bottle
  • 200 miles = AM/FM Mini Radio with headphones
  • 300 miles = Pedometer
  • 400 miles = Timberwolf Recreation work-out bag
  • 500 miles = Timberwolf Recreation Century Club Champion T-Shirt

How much does it cost?

The cost is $5 a year to be a member.

What do I do first, and how do I enroll and get started?

Complete the registration form, and return it to Scott Fisher or to the Hach Center Front Desk. You may begin your program at any time of the year.
