Welcome to Northwood University Housing!
Students gain many benefits from living in on campus housing. Students who live on campus tend to maintain a higher GPA, have more interaction with other students, and have the convenience of no commute and freshly prepared food every day! Living on campus allows you to readily meet new friends and creates opportunities for you to become involved. Each facility is Wi-Fi ready and waiting for you! Incoming Freshmen
ALL Freshmen are required to live on campus unless they meet one of the following criteria:
- Live within a 50 mile commuting radius of Northwood University
- Married
- Veteran
- 20 years of age or older as of September 1
- Live with a sibling (sophomore or older) who is already established off campus (approval by Dean of Students required)

- Each individual apartment houses up to 6 students in single bedrooms

- Conveniently located near the cafeteria
- 2 bathrooms
- 24-hour security
- Room Furnishings: 1 twin bed (extra-long), 1 closet or wardrobe, 1 desk per bedroom, 1 chair per bedroom , carpeted throughout
South Village Apartments
Shared Style Features
- Designated for students beyond their first year at Northwood University
- Accommodates up to 168 students
- Each individual apartment houses up to six students
- Air conditioned
- Large community living area
- Study rooms
- Laundry facilities within each apartment
- Data ports in every apartment/Wireless network
- Cable outlet
- Full bath and half bath
- 24-hour security
- Room Furnishings: six twin beds (bunk-style, extra-long) between three bedrooms, two closets, fully furnished kitchens including stove, refrigerator/freezer, sink, cupboard space.
Graduate Students

Other Guidelines
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in university housing facilities including student rooms and public areas such as hallways and bathrooms.
