Welcome to University Housing!

Campus housing creates an atmosphere conducive to learning; and of course, we'd be remiss if we omitted socializing. Housing facilities are situated on-campus allowing students conveniences within walking distance. Living on-campus allows you to readily meet new friends and creates opportunities for you to become involved. Each facility is Wi-Fi ready and waiting for you! Visit each campus housing option to view floor plans and room amenities.

Incoming Freshmen

ALL Freshmen are required to live on campus unless they meet one of the following criteria:

  • Live within a 50 mile commuting radius of Northwood University
  • Married
  • Veteran
  • 20 years of age or older as of September 1
  • Live with a sibling (sophomore or older) who is already established off campus

  • Only air conditioned housing on the Michigan campus

  • Conveniently located near the cafeteria
  • 2 bathrooms

South Village Apartments

  • Accommodates up to 168 students
  • Each individual apartment houses up to six students
  • Large community living area
  • Study rooms
  • Laundry facilities within each apartment
  • Data ports in every apartment/Wireless network

  • Full bath and half bath
  • 24-hour security
  • Room Furnishings: six twin beds (bunk-style, extra-long) between three bedrooms, two closets, fully furnished kitchens including stove, refrigerator/freezer, sink, cupboard space.

Graduate Students

  • If you are looking for a great place to live, apply for University Housing!
  • We offer university student apartments for graduate students. These communities provide a home for students from all over the world.
  • Living in university housing provides opportunities to learn about other cultures and connect to university resources.

Other Guidelines

Smoking is not permitted anywhere in university housing facilities including public areas such as hallways, bathrooms, or student rooms.
