Campus & Community Arts

Students are encouraged to explore the relationship between business and the arts through participation in cultural and fine arts events on and off campus. To receive EXCEL credit, or hours towards an EXCEL credit, approved activities must meet the following criteria:

  1. Activities must relate to the arts or the relationship between business and the arts. (music, drama, dance, art, photography, poetry, etc.)
  2. The student must demonstrate that they were active participants in the activity.
  3. A minimum of eight accumulated hours of participation in an event, or through a series of at least four individual event is required.

  • Choral programs through the Midland Music Society
  • Contests (campus and community)
  • Dance workshops through In Motion Dance Studio
  • Gallery openings
