Northwood Health Services' professional medical and counseling staff is here to assist you. There is no illness or problem too trivial if it is causing you concern. We may not have the answer, but we will assist you in finding help.

Health Services is compliant with the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and personal health information will only be released with your consent.

If you have a chronic condition, although it is controlled, such as epilepsy, diabetes, etc. Health Services recommends that you make your RA aware. It is also suggested that you carry information regarding this condition with you at all times to assist in treatment in the event of an emergency.

After Hours/Emergency Care

• On campus students may always call the Resident Assistant
• Ambulance/Emergency Service: Call 9-911 from campus phones
• Visit any local medical facility

Fees

There is no office visit charge to see the nurse. Physician hours are available to all Northwood students during the fall, winter and spring terms. Physician charges are on a fee-for-service basis. The physician's fee is waived for intercollegiate athletes when they are seen on campus.
