Head Coach (11thYear)
Dave Turner is currently in his 11th season as the head coach of the men's golf program and his seventh season as coach of the women's program.
He has guided the men's team to eight appearances in the NCAA Super Regional. Turner's 2002 team earned Northwood its first GLIAC Championship in program history, led by individual champion Justin Holyszko. For his efforts that season, Turner was named GLIAC Coach of the Year. NU has also had a total of six Academic Scholar All-Americans during his tenure.
On the women's side, Turner's 2005 team earned a bid into the NCAA Regional - the first in program history. He coached Jamie Long to the individual title at the GLIAC Championship in 2006 - her one-over par total over 54 holes was the lowest in relation in par in tournament history. Long also earned GLIAC Athlete of the Year honors in 2006. The Timberwolves also reached the NCAA Regional for the second time in program history in 2006, a year which saw Turner claim GLIAC Coach of the Year honors. Northwood has placed third in the GLIAC in each of the past four seasons.
Turner and his wife Barb reside in Midland. They have two children - Jenna and Blair.
