Vada Dow was a great contributor to humanity. Her devotion to helping others accomplish their dreams was the hallmark of her life. From her early years as a teacher and a silent force behind her architect husband, Alden, Vada met and influenced many people with her kind and understanding ability to listen and guide.

The Northwood University SAB has taken steps to continue the legacy of Vada Bennett Dow with an award that signifies her philosophy and commitment to humanity.

Candidates are chosen based on their involvement in the Midland community, hometown community and/or their involvement at Northwood University. Candidates must be in good academic standing with the University.
