Home School Students

How to Apply

Applicants who do not hold a high school diploma may be admitted by satisfactorily completing an equivalency examination prescribed by the school or by successfully completing the GED examination. ACT or SAT scores are required of all applicants.

For applicants who have participated in home school programs, the following must be submitted to Northwood University's Admissions to evaluate the application:

  • An application for admission 
  • Academic portfolio 
  • Transcripts of all courses taken including syllabi, course evaluations, and grades for each subject in conformity with standards required by the state of residency OR certified results of the GED
  • Transcripts of any/all traditional high school work 
  • Results of the SAT/ACT

If submitting a paper application include a non-refundable $25 application fee. The application fee is waived if you apply to the undergraduate program online.
