Life on the Michigan Campus

The Northwood University Michigan campus is an exciting place with an active community of students, professors, and staff members.

On the Michigan campus, you'll find fabulous fall colors, NCAA Division II athletics, the annual Automotive Industry Show, and students participating in any number of activities. Students can also find peace and quiet on our 434-acre campus, settled along the banks of the Tittabawassee River.

The Michigan campus is set in Midland, Michigan, home of The Dow Chemical Company and Dow Corning Corporation. Located 15 miles from Lake Huron and 135 miles north of Detroit, Midland is a small town with big city amenities. Midland is rich in culture, the arts, and provides many shopping opportunities minutes from campus.

No Compromise Required

You know you want to pursue a career in business. You are just as certain you want a full college experience. What do we say? Welcome to both worlds. Northwood is for students who are ready to get down to business and who have every expectation of success. Northwood is also for students who are ready to get caught up in the college spirit. Are you ready? This will be a great time.

The Northwood Idea

We believe in a system not forced into conformity with some master plan. We believe that it is the differences among us that make us interesting and useful to each other. We think this is as true in the philosophical and artistic as it is in the economic realm. Freedom from conformity releases the juices of creativity and our differences become strengths of our association, not hindrances to our existence. Thus, we insist on a system that recognizes our differences as individuals from each other, and turns those differences to positive use rather than attempting to eliminate them.
