Academic Achievement

Honors Awards

Student achievement is recognized each term based on term GPA for students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours with no F's or I's. Students qualify for the President's List if they earn 3.85-4.0 GPA for a single term. A congratulatory letter is sent to each student from President Keith A. Pretty, J.D.

Students earn Dean's List recognition if they earn 3.25-3.84 GPA for a single term. John Grether, J.D., Academic Dean, sends a congratulatory letter to all Dean's List members.

The President’s and Dean's List recipient’s names are sent to the student's local newspaper.

Honors Convocation

Honors convocation academic awards are presented annually. Awards are given for achievement within specific curriculums, for specific extracurricular activities such as journalism and drama, and general awards for overall achievement. Most awards require that candidates have applied for graduation for either an A.A. or a B.B.A. degree.
