GLEN ELLYN, IL – Following approval from the Illinois Department of Education, Northwood University will expand its degree offerings to include a major in marketing.
“We are very excited about this opportunity,” stated Ann Marie Rosen, regional development manager for Northwood University’s Glen Ellyn Adult Degree Program. “To be recognized by the Illinois Department of Education is very gratifying but it’s even more valuable for adult professionals looking to major in marketing.”
With the approval, students have the option of majoring in management or marketing. According to Rosen, this is crucial especially in today’s economy.
“Employing the best educated and trained marketing professionals is fundamental to any company’s success and it’s even more important today,” explained Rosen. “Being able to fill this need and to expand our degree offerings here in Illinois is great for area businesses and students alike. We are honored to be a partner of choice for those who want to major in marketing,” she continued.
Northwood University’s Adult Degree Program includes a Prior Learning Assessment which gives students course credit for appropriate and demonstrated expertise and knowledge based upon their previous work experience. Its specialized bachelor of business administration degree program combines evening, weekend and online courses which fit the flexible learning needs of today’s adult students. The Glen Ellyn Center is conveniently located at 1200 Roosevelt Road.
Northwood University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association.
