Northwood University Florida's Office of Admissions Embraces Exciting Strategic Plan

As Northwood University incorporates strategic initiatives designed to welcome the best and brightest students from across the globe, they are increasing the number of their admissions staff. Northwood University Florida is pleased to announce the following appointments:
. Fernanda Gazmuri - Admissions Representative
. Maria Pumarejo - New Student Coordinator
. Shannon Wightman - Admissions Representative
“I am excited to now have all admissions representatives deployed in their specific territories. Fernanda Gazmuri will focus her attention on Florida’s southern counties, while Shannon Wightman will concentrate on its west coast. In addition Maria Pumarejo, a Northwood graduate and current member of the admissions staff has moved into the demanding and much needed position of New Student Coordinator,” said Emily Mass, Director of Admissions.
Gazmuri previously served as a Registry Coach at Palm Beach State College, a Fiscal and Academic Coordinator at Florida Atlantic University and an Operations Manager at Nova Southeastern University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Minor in Psychology and her Master of Science in International Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
Pumarejo previously served as an Independent Sales Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics and an Intelligent Assistant at Intelligent Office Palm Beach Gardens before coming back to her Alma Mater to serve as a an Admissions Representative in April 2010. Pumarejo was promoted in May 2012 to Assistant Director of Admission and Enrollment Management before taking the role of New Student Enrollment Coordinator. She earned an Associate's Degree in Entertainment and Sports Promotional Management and a Bachelor's of Business Administration from Northwood University.
Wightman previously served as an Admissions Counselor at Florida Southern College, located in Lakeland, Florida and an Admissions Advisor at SUNY Cortland, in Upstate New York. She received her Bachelor in Humanities degree with a concentration in English and Communications from Florida Southern College, and is excited to bring her passion for working with students and her previous admission experience to her new role as Admission Representative for Northwood!
