The NUIAS is held each fall on Northwood University’s Midland, Mich., campus located at 4000 Whiting Drive. The executive board for this year’s NUIAS has been in the planning and creation process since December. The show will be held on September 27, 28 and 29. NUIAS General Chair Adam LaFurgey states, “This year’s theme, ‘Cruising Through the Golden Anniversary,’ focuses on this milestone event. We want to celebrate the past, present and future of the Auto Show and the automotive industry. Our decade-inspired displays will showcase the best of the automotive industry and the incredible opportunity it has for the future. This show will be one to remember.”

LaFurgey and his 13-member executive board are working with over 600 students to create a show that attracts approximately 50,000 visitors each year. It is held during the peak of the fall season on Northwood’s heavily wooded campus and this year will feature about 500 new domestic and imported cars, trucks, recreational vehicles, vans, experimental and specialty vehicles. The show also offers an extensive aftermarket exhibit. Not only will you see vehicles of the present and future but also on Sunday, September 29, you can take a step into the past during the Classic Car Show.

This year four local high school students are members of the NUIAS junior executive board. The junior executive board program gives high school students an opportunity to work with college students while gaining professional experience in implementing a multifaceted event involving multiple vendors.
