Reynolds & Reynolds Company comes to Northwood University for Recruiting Day

CEDAR HILL, Texas –On Thursday, November 15, Northwood University was honored to have Reynolds & Reynolds Company come to campus to speak to the Knights providing them with real-life advice and to recruit future employees.

This event was no ordinary recruiting event. The Reynolds & Reynolds Company had informative presentations for students plus a meet and greet as well as on-campus interviews. The interviews may result in qualified Knights receiving full-time or internship opportunities with the company. Knights were able to receive direct advice on what occupations would suit their personalities as well as the major that they are obtaining.

The Knights were very eager to receive the advice from the recruiters especially since Kyle Smith, current sales director of Reynolds & Reynolds, is an alumnus of Northwood University. The students didn’t hesitate to ask the recruiters questions from how to be successful to what are their favorite sports.  The atmosphere was relaxed for the recruiters as well as the students.  Ieisha Smith, a senior management information systems major, stated, “I am very grateful that Reynolds and Reynolds came to our school and I will be applying for a full-time position with the company. This event was amazing.”

Both the students and recruiters were excited. Kyle Smith stated, “I think we are giving these students an opportunity to get exposed to real-world experiences from hiring managers. It will give them a good head start on their interviewing process and job search as a whole, as well as a leg up on their competition knowing what managers and hiring supervisors are looking for in today’s society.”

Northwood students wish to thank Reynolds & Reynolds as well as Professor Evgeniy Gentchev, director of career services and chair of the international business department, for organizing this wonderful opportunity.
