NU TX Head Men’s Soccer Coach, Atanas "Nasko" Arsov

CEDAR HILL–Northwood University’s head men’s soccer coach,   Atanas "Nasko" Arsov, announced that he will host open tryouts for junior varsity and varsity soccer players.   Tryouts will be held Saturday, June 30th and August 11th, beginning at 10am at the Knight’s soccer field, 1114 West FM 1382 in Cedar Hill, TX.

“I believe that with these additional players we will strengthen our program as we move forward,” said Coach Nasko.

Last year the Knights made the playoffs finishing 6th in the Red River Conference, with an overall conference record of 7-4.

Coach Nasko joined Northwood University in August 2011 as the Head Coach for the Northwood Knights Men’s soccer team. He earned a Master of Science in Physical Education from the National Sports Academy University, Sofia, Bulgaria (1992) and currently holds a United States Soccer Federations “B” License.

He has played professional soccer in Bulgaria for 12 years. During that time, he played with six different professional clubs and participated in over 350 matches. After arriving in the US in 1997, Arsov played one year as an EISL Professional indoor soccer player (20 matches, 21 pts) before he started coaching in 1998.
