Northwood University to Host Pack Pride Family Day

Northwood University will be hosting Pack Pride Family Day on Saturday, October 27, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Bennett Sports Center.

MIDLAND, MI – Northwood University will be hosting Pack Pride Family Day on Saturday, October 27, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Bennett Sports Center. To welcome the families to campus, there will be a brunch, pictures with Woody the Timberwolf, an opportunity to meet Northwood athletes and get their autographs, a meet and greet with faculty and staff, arts and crafts, music, food and inflatables.

Over the weekend many sporting events will be taking place. There will be two chances to see Northwood’s volleyball team in action this weekend: Friday, October 26, at 7 p.m. against Lake Superior State University and on Saturday, October 27, at 4 p.m. versus Saginaw Valley State University. The Timberwolves will be playing Northern Michigan University’s football team on Saturday, October 27, beginning with a tailgate at 9 a.m. and kickoff at 12 p.m. (noon). Women’s tennis will be hosting the GLIAC tennis tournament starting Friday, October 26, through Sunday, October 28, at the Midland Community Tennis Center. Northwood University’s Health and Wellness Team will also be hosting the Fall FitFest 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, October 27, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The proceeds from this event help raise scholarship funds for Northwood University students.

Teresa Sullivan, director of student life for Northwood University, states, “Pack Pride is a day when we invite all of our new student’s families back to campus. We would like them to have an opportunity to meet the faculty and staff who their students have interacted with in their first few months of college."
