MIDLAND, MI – Marquis Ragland, a Northwood University junior from Grand Blanc majoring in Aftermarket Management, took an internship over the summer at a dealership with Diamond Companies in Memphis. Ragland gained experience working many positions from a delivery driver to outside sales.
The purpose of this partnership was to solve the problem of the low numbers of younger generations being interested in the trucking industry. Dick Sweebe, president and CEO of Diamond Companies, partnered with Northwood University’s Aftermarket Management program to set up this internship. This partnership allows students to learn more about the trucking industry while fulfilling the internship requirement for their curriculum.
