Northwood University (NU) Florida is pleased to welcome Nick Davidson as Athletic Director.

Prior to joining NU Davidson served as Assistant Director of Athletics for Internal Operations at Davenport University. His responsibilities included oversight of non-varsity programs, assistance in overall budget and process development, and administration of all game day operations, customer relations, and marketing and ticket sales. He also served as Assistant Men's Basketball Coach for five years and Assistant Director of the student center where he was in charge of game day operations, event management, and development of intramurals.

A graduate of Northwood University Michigan, Davidson earned his associate degree in Banking and Finance and bachelor's degree in Marketing and Management. He then coached two years at Northwood while obtaining his master of business administration (MBA) degree in Integrated Management.

"It is great to be back at Northwood University," said Davidson. "I appreciate very much Dr. Tom Duncan and Dr. Kristin Stehouwer's trust in me to move athletics forward. This is an exciting time to be a part of NU Florida and I share Dr. Duncan's vision to grow this campus and I look forward to athletics being an integral part of that growth. We plan to ensure that our student athletes will continue to have a positive experience that they will remember for a lifetime. Our energy will be focused on growth and development of current and new athletic programs and facilities so that we will be competitive in all areas of athletics," he said.

During his playing time at Northwood, Davidson was a three-point specialist on the basketball team, graduating second all-time in three-pointers and was a member of the school's first ever national tournament team.

Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, he graduated from Catholic Central High School. He and his wife Stephanie have two children, Gianna and Jonathan (Jack).
