Northwood University Florida is pleased to announce that it has appointed Midge Reichert as Director of Career Services.
Reicherts's interest in human relations and business led to a career change from director of a family crisis prevention program in Suffolk County, New York, to human resources recruiter for a leading staffing agency in New York City's financial district.
Now, with over 15 years of Human Resources experience, and 10 years of teaching at the university level, she focuses on career development for students and employees.
Reichert earned her Master of Science degree in Human Resources Development at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida. Upon graduation, she was offered an adjunct position teaching at Northwood University. Her reputation as a trainer and consultant has led to assignments to create and facilitate workshops in HR Management Essentials, Workplace Diversity, Sales Training, Career Planning, Systems Thinking Integration, Writing Job Descriptions and the use of the MBTI and DISC personality assessments for career advisement, team building, and performance management. She has also been a guest speaker for numerous professional organizations, including the Business and Professional Women's Association on the state and local level, and the Human Resources Association of Palm Beach County.
Reichert has held positions as Human Resources Director in the fields of marine technology, aviation, and health care where she developed and implemented HR policies and processes to meet compliance standards in alignment with organizational objectives. She is an active member of Jupiter-Tequesta Junior Women's Club, on the Board of Directors of the South Florida Chapter of the American Society of Training and Development's Palm Beach County GIG, serving as VP of Community Outreach, and Director of Membership.
