CEDAR HILL, Texas – Northwood University hosted a brunch on Thursday, May 3, in honor of this semester’s graduating seniors. The purpose of this event followed closely with the goal of the Alumni Relations department: to foster a lifelong network amongst our alumni and encourage a continued connection to Northwood University.
“Our alumni are Northwood’s best resource and this event recognized that while we are not only looking at what our graduates can do for us but what we can do for them as they begin their careers. Northwood looks to help its alumni to achieve their goals while also learning from their experiences to better serve future students,” stated Dr. Kevin Fegan, Northwood University Texas Campus Provost.
This event congratulated and recognized what the seniors have done during their time at Northwood while also learning what more can be done to benefit current students and alumni. After breakfast, the group opened up about their experiences in the classroom and with their professors. The brunch also served as an orientation of sorts, informing the newest members of Northwood’s alumni community about all the events and services available to them.
“This was the first time the Senior Breakfast has been held on the Texas campus, and I think it will be a new tradition moving forward! It was a great opportunity to educate the soon-to-be graduates on what services the alumni department can provide, announce upcoming events and allow the senior’s a chance to share their post-graduation plans,” commented Natasha Elder, Northwood Director of Alumni Relations. “Overall, I think it was a successful and appreciated event. I’m looking forward to seeing them all graduate next week!”
