MIDLAND, MI – On Thursday, October 11, Northwood University students will return to Downtown Midland for the 35th year to pose as mannequins in 30-40 store window fronts. The modeling takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be opportunities for the crowd to make the mannequins move or smile. Mannequin Night is sponsored by the Northwood University Fashion Marketing & Management (FMM) department and the Midland Downtown Business Association (DBA).

This year’s theme is “The Style of Life… Come Play the Game of Fashion.” This year kids can support the show by attending dressed as their favorite board game character. The windows are graded and also judged in such categories as: Best Overall, Honorable Mention Overall, Most Original, Best Models, Most Artistic and the Professor’s Award.

Jill Ouellette, chair of Northwood’s Fashion Marketing & Management department, states, “As always I am excited to be part of such an excellent event, with so much support from our community. I am always amazed at the attendance and our plan is to, once again, entertain the community with our students’ skills and abilities. The students came up with such a unique theme this year and I am excited to see their hard work come to fruition.”
