The Taste of Downtown event will take place on Thursday, August 9.

MIDLAND, MI – The Northwood University Gallery, located at 102 East Main Street, will be participating in the Taste of Downtown in Midland on Thursday, August 9 from 5:30 p.m.-11:00p.m. The Gallery will help host the event as guests enjoy the various food, drinks and entertainment downtown Midland has to offer. At the Gallery, Northwood University’s NADA Hotel and Conference Center will be showcasing their chefs’ expertise.

Each ticket costs $32 and includes over 15 samples of local cuisine, three complimentary beverages from downtown pubs and an evening reception on the patio of The H Hotel to conclude the evening with more food, drinks and dancing. This event is held by Midland’s Downtown Development Authority to highlight all of the various restaurants, retailers, pubs and caterers that call Midland home.

The Northwood Gallery and NADA Hotel & Conference Center had a very successful dress rehearsal for the “Greatest of the Great” Award ceremony which is sponsored by the Great Lakes Bay Regional Lifestyle Magazine and printed by F.P Horak. This exciting ceremony, which celebrates and showcases the winners of this annual readers’ choice contest, was held on May 31, 2012, at the Great Hall Banquet & Convention Center in Midland. It was the fifth consecutive year of the contest and Northwood Gallery won the award each year in the category “The Best Place to Buy Original Art.” The Northwood Gallery partnership with the NADA was a great idea as it raised awareness of both entities and made a strong impact recognition for Northwood University.
