A 4-year Management major will be offered in the fall.

MIDLAND, MI – Northwood University and University Center at Gaylord (UC) formed a partnership early 2012 and in the spring held their initial open house. In the fall, a 4-year Management major, in addition to the existing Entrepreneurship and Hospitality Management majors, will be offered.

Dr. Kristin Stehouwer, executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief academic officer, comments, “This partnership is part of Northwood’s strategic plan to support learners in northern Michigan who want to earn a degree while working part or full-time. For over ten years we have had a center on the east side in Alpena and this new location strengthens our commitment to northern Michigan.”

Classes will be offered evenings, weekends and online. Northwood is partnering with local community colleges to support transfer students.

Jack Thompson, executive director of the University Center at Gaylord, states, “I am delighted that after years of discussions Northwood University is offering three great degrees for our residents. We are looking forward to a long and successful partnership."
