Knights named NAIA Scholars
Three Northwood University Golfers named NAIA Scholars
July 27, 2012
CEDAR HILL, Texas –Three of Northwood's finest were named as NAIA All American Scholars. The awards are given out annually. To be nominated players have to be a junior or senior and have a GPA above 3.5.
The winners of this prestigious award include recent graduate Adam Gelmon, and seniors Travis Kemp and Ian Morehouse.
Head golf coach for Northwood University Ben Belfield said, "This Knights team has shown a dedication to being the best in all they do and academics is a huge part of that. I stress to them that doing their best will ultimately pay dividends for them in whatever they choose to do, and for us as a team whilst they are a student-athlete at Northwood University. The leaders in academics over the last year have been Travis, Ian and Adam who have shown that they take care of business and are able to manage their time and schedules. I applaud them for their work ethic and attitudes, knowing that Travis and Ian will continue to be leaders in academics."
