CEDAR HILL, Texas-The Northwood Knights began their homecoming celebration by having a Homecoming Kick-off Knight Cookout at the Swalwell Student Union. Students, faculty, and staff came from all over campus united as one to celebrate homecoming.
“The environment was fresh and lively”, says Lakeidea Burns, junior entrepreneurship major.
The Swalwell patio was decorated in the school colors with balloons, pom-poms, miniature megaphones, fake blue mustaches and “#1” temporary tattoos for students to show their pride.
Adrian Valle, freshman marketing advertising major stated, “The weather was awesome and knight pride rocks.”
Students danced to the music and socialized with their peers.
“Seeing the amount of students who came out today and all of the NU decorations showed me how much school pride our students have this year” said Abby Babbitt, director of Leadership and Character Development. What a wonderful sight to see all of the students, faculty, and staff bonding. The fun will continue with Intramurals Friday at 2PM and Crossing Over this Saturday at 7:30PM.
