Former NU Pitcher Makes Professional Debut

CEDAR HILL, Texas – Former Northwood pitcher, Teddy Nowell, makes professional debut at QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie, Texas. Nowell, a rookie pitcher for the AirHogs is currently a senior at Northwood University’s Texas campus.
The AirHogs are an independent minor league baseball team located in the heart of Dallas/Fort Worth. As a member of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball, the team plays 100 regular season games per year from May to September, including 50 home games played at QuikTrip Park at Grand Prairie.
“I am happy for Teddy to get a chance to show what kind of pitcher he is on that stage,” said Jeremy Kennedy, NU Head Baseball Coach. Kennedy continued, “He is one of the best students I have had in my time at Northwood. Teddy was outstanding in his debut and I am excited to see how the season plays out for him. This experience will also be very beneficial for his upcoming coaching career. This fall Teddy will join the NU staff as an assistant coach.”
