Northwood University's Fashion Group model for Fashion Night Out

September 13, 2012

CEDAR HILL, Texas –Thursday September 6th, four of Northwood’s fashion marketing and merchandising students participated in Fashion Night Out that was held at Uptown Village in Cedar Hill, Texas.

The students modeled for Virginia’s Boutique, Express, Champs, and Charming Charlie’s to showcase the various styles that are in fashion for the fall season. Angelica Diaz, freshman, says, “It was very fun and an interesting event. I really liked my outfit and they let me be creative.” The ladies also showed off hairstyles as well as makeup for the fall created by the talented cosmetologist of Aveda’s Tangerine Salon.  “I really enjoyed modeling for Express, I was comfortable in what I was wearing and I felt beautiful. It was an honor to be asked to experience Fashion Night Out at Uptown”, says Phuong Nguyen, sophomore.

The first hundred customers that checked in to fashion night out received a gift bag filled with goodies from the stores in Uptown village. Throughout the event, guests were serenaded by a local jazz band and invited to sample a selection of wines and hors d’oeuvres at several tasting stations. Jocelyn Knowles, sophomore, stated, “It was a great experience and I was able to meet new people, all in the name of fashion.”
