CEDAR HILL, Texas – Darien Moore joined the Northwood Texas University staff on April 30, 2012, as the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management. Previously she has worked as the department head for the Office of Outreach & Transition Programs and New Student Orientation. Moore has more than 10 years of experience in Higher Education, including work in community college, four-year public and start-up institutions.
Moore is a native of Northern California and has served in numerous capacities in higher education which include: recruitment; outreach; international student advising; academic advising; campus visit coordination; coordination of new student orientation; student activities and organizations; and leadership development. She is a member of the Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers and has served on numerous, boards, committees and chambers.
Moore is passionate about education, enterprise, community and individual empowerment. She is an advocate of bridging the gaps in higher education. She has been instrumental in the development of partnerships between educational institutions, community and faith-based organizations, as well as programming and events to help dispel the myths of the unattainability of higher education. Moore has also worked to develop programs to assist students through the transition into institutions of higher education.
She earned a B.B.A. in Business Management and a B.A. in Performance Studies, both from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, and is currently working toward an M.B.A. in Strategic Management at the University of North Texas at Dallas.
