Ryan Dammar and Alison Spohn Named Homecoming King and Queen at Northwood University

Ryan Dammar and Alison Spohn were named Northwood University's Homecoming King and Queen on Saturday, October 3.
MIDLAND, MI – Ryan Dammar and Alison Spohn were named Northwood University's Homecoming King and Queen on Saturday, October 3. The 2009 Homecoming celebration was sponsored by the Student Government Association. Dr. Willa Stauffer, Northwood's only living founder, was also crowned as 2009 Honorary Homecoming Queen.
Ryan Dammar, a sophomore and the son of Dan and Marine Dammar of West Bloomfield, is majoring in advertising, marketing and management and was sponsored by his fraternity, Phi Delta Theta. He is also a member of Northwood University's American Advertising Federation.
Alison Spohn, a junior and the daughter of David and Kathryn Spohn of Plymouth, is majoring in advertising and marketing and was sponsored by her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega. She is also involved in DECA and is a Student Ambassador for Northwood. Alison works in the Church Building as a student assistant.
Candidates for Homecoming were nominated by their organizations during the month of September. The candidates were required to have a sponsor and be a full-time student on the Michigan Campus.
Homecoming candidates for King were -- Dale Torbert, a sophomore and the son of Hollie Torbert from Reynoldsburg, OH, majoring in accounting; Adam Matzke, a sophomore and the son of Marcella Matzke from Midland, majoring in economics, banking and finance; Dan Waskiewicz, a junior and the son of James and Deborah Waskiewicz from Livonia, majoring in banking, finance and economics; and Andrew Parr, a senior and the son of Brian and Elizabeth Parr from Grand Blanc, majoring in automotive aftermarket management.
The Queen candidates were -- Erica Loroff, a junior and the daughter of Edward and Lynne Radatz from Sandusky, OH, majoring in advertising, marketing and management; Kayla Swan, a junior and the daughter of Marcia Lossing from Linden and Russell Swan from Lapeer, majoring in accounting; Kristina Dobbin, a junior and the daughter of Donald Dobbin from Hastings, majoring in accounting; Rosalind Dixon, a freshman and the daughter of Leonard and Adrian Dixon from Woodhaven, majoring in advertising, marketing and management; Kelli Rebant, a senior and the daughter of Rebecca Rebant from Midland, majoring in automotive marketing and management; and Christine Petryk, a junior and the daughter of Jennifer Petryk from Grand Rapids, majoring in banking and finance.
