Business Events at 2009 AAPEX Show in Las Vegas

Participants Can Make Progress Toward AAP, MAAP Certificates at 'Inside Track' Education Sessions, AAIA Town Hall Meeting and AASA Executive Breakfast

Midland, MI – The University of the Aftermarket has finalized the accreditation process for a near-record 26 business events that will take place during the 2009 AAPEX Show, Nov. 3-5 in Las Vegas. Industry professionals attending any of these sessions will be able to earn Continuing Education Units (CEU) that can be applied toward their Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) or Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) certificates.

"The number of aftermarket professionals pursuing AAP and MAAP certificates is growing every month," said University of the Aftermarket Director Brian Cruickshank, AAP. "We're building on this positive momentum by continually expanding access to accredited business education sessions in a variety of formats and settings. AAPEX is an excellent opportunity to make progress toward your certificate while charting the future of your business."

University of the Aftermarket CEUs will be available for each of the 24 business education sessions offered through the show's "The Inside Track" learning forum. These sessions are offered each day of the show at 7:30 and 9 a.m. in the Venetian/Palazzo Congress Center Level 1. These events are free to all registered AAPEX attendees.

CEUs also are available to those who attend the AASA Executive Breakfast, Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 7 a.m. in Venetian Ballroom C, and the AAIA Town Hall Meeting, Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 7 a.m. in the Palazzo Ballroom. Tickets are required for each of these events.

The AASA breakfast will feature a keynote address by Uni-Select President and CEO Richard Roy. During the Town Hall Meeting, AAIA President and CEO Kathleen Schmatz will moderate a panel of industry representatives. Panelists will include Larry Sills, president of Standard Motor Products; Bill Rhodes, president and CEO, AutoZone; Rusty Bishop, CEO, Federated Auto Parts; and Jim Dykstra, owner, Dykstra Auto Service.
