Northwood University to Welcome Freshmen and Families During Orientation September 3 and 4

MIDLAND, MI – "Pack Pride" is this year's theme to welcome Northwood University's incoming freshmen and families. Many great activities have been scheduled to help our new freshmen and their families adjust to college life. Orientation will be held Thursday, September 3 and Friday, September 4.

The moving-in process will begin on Thursday, September 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of Miner Hall. Northwood ambassadors consisting of faculty, staff, orientation leaders, and RAs will greet and help the new students carry their belongings to their dorm rooms. Following move-in will be a lunch outside the Gerstacker Student Union from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Once the students have met their teams and team leaders they will walk to the Hach Student Life Center for a welcome presentation to be given by Northwood University President Keith A. Pretty.

At 3:00 p.m. students will begin their campus tour starting with the Exhibit Hall in the Bennett Sports Center. Students will also get the opportunity to meet their academic counselors and learn about faculty expectations as well as Northwood's service project.

A welcome dinner will be held in the Cafeteria/Student Union at 5 p.m. To wrap up the orientation day there will be a Timberwolf Crossover at 8 p.m. in the Thrune Courtyard where students will become a part of the Northwood family and officially become a Timberwolf. At 9 p.m. there will be a Greek life sponsored event in the Hach Student Life Center.
