Northwood University is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with Karnavati Education in Gujarat, India. Northwood University and Karnavati are excited to offer the new business program.

Karnavati Education currently has a campus in Ahmedabad with three additional campuses in Mehsana, Baroda, and Surat. In 2010, Gujarat will become the home for two new campuses. Through working with thousands of young Indian students and their parents, Karnavati founders learned unique insights into today's students' educational needs and wants in their home state of Gujarat.

Karnavati Director Mr. Tejas Pandya stated:

"Karnavati Education's mission is to provide industry-relevant, high quality education and educational opportunities to the students of India through strategic partnerships with renowned education providers in India and internationally, in such a way that Karnavati students discover and realize their maximum potential and deliver their best to business and industry. We are pleased that Northwood has chosen to work with us and we are excited about the potential for our business students."

Karnavati's business faculty monitors industry trends and developments to ensure an industry-relevant curriculum and teaching methodology that result in job-ready graduates and future leaders. Selected strategic partners, both local and international, offer transfer credit options that allow Karnavati students to complete selected degrees abroad at universities with similar philosophies and commitments.

"Karnavati's practical, real-life approach combined with classroom instruction of an international standard and a holistic approach to student development make Karnavati an ideal partner for Northwood University, and this agreement will benefit both institutions," said Lance Lewis, Dean of International Programs.

Mr. Swapnil Patel, Karnavati Education Director, noted:

"This venture's success will be in working closely with Northwood through Northwood's Asia Regional Office and Director, Mr. Dan Kelch. The transfer collaboration melds well with our program. With Northwood's unique global approach and its true understanding of international students and programs, success is close by."

With the signing of the MOU with Northwood, Karnavati's focus on programs in Technology and Health Sciences has been expanded to include Business. Karnavati students will have transfer access to all of Northwood's undergraduate business programs, but will focus on Marketing/Management and International Business/Management - two programs with significant career and growth opportunities in India, the region, and internationally.
