In Defense of Capitalism is an annual anthology dedicated to the values and principles of a free and moral society written by the faculty, staff, students, and friends of Northwood University. It reflects the University’s belief in free market economics and the positive role capitalism and entrepreneurship played in the American founding and in the enhancement of human progress around the world.

2012 Texas Economic Competitiveness Study

"The U.S., and therefore the Texas economy, is part of a highly complex global economy which faces constant and often radical change. The study briefly outlines the current state of U.S. competitiveness in the global economy and then focuses on Texas’s economic performance relative to the other 49 U.S. states. The purpose of the study was to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the Texas economy and evaluate its rank and performance across a number of metrics including but not limited to Gross State Product (GSP) growth, tax policy, regulatory policy, and cost of doing business."
