Making a decision to explore the world beyond the borders of the United States can be a crucial step in changing your life. Study abroad is an experience that will enrich you personally, professionally and academically, and is something that no amount of classroom experience can simulate or replace. Study abroad develops a level of maturity and self-confidence that will enhance any student’s personal and professional skill set.
Northwood University is pleased to offer a number of group study abroad opportunities to its students, and the university is committed to growing the number of opportunities and programs.

NEW - Important Passport Information:
Students registering for study abroad programs *must* have a valid passport to participate in the programs. Because of changes in U.S. regulation resulting in increased applications, some passport applications are taking up to 16 weeks to process. Northwood recommends you apply NOW for 2007-08 study abroad programs. Passport information is at: travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html. Students need passports "in hand" by the application deadline.

Northwood University has built partner relationships with educational institutions worldwide. Through these partnerships, individual Northwood students have the opportunity to study at one of the partner institutions for a summer, semester, or year. Credits earned through exchange programs are transferred to Northwood University. Each partnership offers a different curriculum, yet the courses still maintain the values and learning goals of those offered through Northwood University on campus courses.
Northwood University currently has exchange programs in Europe and Latin America.
