Title:  Director of Residential Life/Complex Director Employment Application

The Director of Residential Life/Complex Director is a full-time,12-month professional position.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Student Affairs or Higher Education preferred. A bachelor’s degree and previous experience in residential life are required.

Responsibilities:
*Serve as a strong and active contributor to the student services staff and the overall student services program at the University.This includes attendance at biweekly staff meetings, serving on staff committees, organizing workshops and EXCEL-credited educational activities, attending and supporting programs organized by fellow staff members and faculty, and participating in new student orientation each term.
*Manage a residential life program which consists of a complex housing approximately 300 students, with an emphasis on fostering a positive and supportive living community, and being responsive to the needs and interests of our residential students.
*Recruit, select, train, supervise, mentor, and evaluate 3 Senior Resident Assistants and 9 Resident Assistants.
*Lead weekly senior staff and full residential life staff meetings.
*Plan and implement the spring and fall residential life staff training programs.
*Update and publish the annual Residential Life Staff Manual.
*Oversee administrative duties in residential life, including housing assignments,room condition forms, hall damage/lost key billing, keys, opening and closing of
the residential complex, room change processes, room selection/assignment processes, housing maintenance and furnishings, health and safety inspections,equipment lending program, staff-run store, the residential life budget, and campus housing during break periods and the summer.
*Select and supervise a team of part-time student office assistants.
*Provide leadership for the residential life programming efforts in the areas of social, educational, community service, and recreational programming.
*Work closely with the Residential Life Advisory Board (RLAB), consisting of a representative from each apartment in the Stauffer Complex.
*Provide on-call support to the staff members on duty in the complex.
*Serve as the primary contact person for residential life staff in the event of a residential emergency, including responding to such situations if they arise. In order to insure that proper back-up is always available to the R.A. staff on those occasions when it is needed, the Residential Life Director and the Dean of Students work together to insure that 1) one of them stays overnight in the complex each night that the residence hall is open; 2) one of them is within reasonable responding distance from campus each night and each weekend(“on-call”).
*Adjudicate student discipline cases originating in the complex.
*Serve as an instructor for the PSY 110, Introduction to College Studies course each term.
*Additional duties as assigned by the Dean of Students.

Title:  Director of Student Activities and Leadership Deve Employment Application

Director of Student Activities and Leadership Development is a full-time, 12-month professional position.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Student Affairs or Higher Education preferred. A bachelor’s degree and previous experience in campus activities are required.

Position Responsibilities:
*Serve as a strong and active contributor to the Student Services Staff and the overall student services program. This includes attendance at biweekly staff meetings,serving on staff committees, organizing workshops and EXCEL programs, attending and supporting programs organized by fellow staff members and faculty, and participating in new student orientation each term.
*Provide support and guidance to campus clubs and organizations, and their advisers.
*Serve as the “point” person for the leadership development category of the EXCEL Student Development Program.
*Approve programs for EXCEL credit, along with the Dean of Students.
*Recruit, select, train, and supervise the Student Mentors who work with first-year students.
*Direct the University’s Emerging Leaders Program for first-year students, and teach the PSY 109 Leadership Classes.
*Advise the Northwood Nights Programming Board, the Class Councils, and the NUsletter/ publications editorial board.
*Coordinate the Fall Festival and Spring Fling Week programming/activities.
*Develop and manage the student activities budget.
*Manage the Dalby Commons gameroom and private dining room areas.
*Coordinate and maintain the monthly activities calendar posted on campus and on the University’s website.
*Serve as an instructor during Fall term for the PSY 110, Introduction to College Studies course.
*Serve on the Provost’s Council.
*Serve on the Orientation Logistics Committee and Homecoming Planning Team.
*Additional duties as assigned by the Dean of Students.

Title:  Information Technology Coordinator Employment Application

The Texas Campus Information Technology Coordinator provides oversight, deployment, support and budgetary planning for all campus technologies and related support staff in compliance with university policies.

The Texas Campus Information Technology Coordinator interfaces with faculty, staff, and students to ensure that all campus computing, network, and instructional technologies are properly installed in all required university facilities. The Texas Campus Information Technology Coordinator is challenged with the ability to provide strategic planning to meet local campus technology needs, react in a timely manner to service requests from university personnel, and ensure that all systems run in compliance with university policies.

Information Technology Coordinator: is the primary technical resource for integration of all systems software, operating systems, and utility programs and ensures that proper testing and documentation is completed; manages on-going maintenance of hardware and systems software; develops software and hardware plans in conjunction with the Associate Director of Technical Services in accordance with long and short-term University objectives; engages in software and hardware product evaluation, including planning, installation, testing, and technical support for the local campus and/or all campus locations as directed by local and corporate administration; develops the campus IT budget, monitors their expenditures, and is responsible for creating campus hardware/software purchase orders; supervises and mentors all campus technology staff; addresses and resolves campus technology support calls as they arise, delegates tasks as is necessary, and ensures each call is documented in the University Help Desk System; documents new procedures and maintains existing documentation relating to position functions; assists in supporting/coordinating the use of interactive television classroom and instructional technologies.

Coordinator will: perform and oversee hardware and software installation under direction of the Associate Director of Technical Services and local campus administration; initiate and approve purchase orders for hardware and software; coordinate the purchase, installation, and/or removal of equipment and software with the appropriate vendors and university personnel; manage and mentor Texas Computer Technologist-Interactive Room Technician and student technicians to ensure superior customer service and sound career guidance.

Require BS or BA degree in computer science or related field; 3-5 years experience in a senior-level position supporting network servers and infrastructure; working knowledge of current Microsoft server, Veritas backup, and Cisco networking technologies; advanced knowledge of computer hardware/software installation and troubleshooting; self-motivated, effective communicator and disciplined planner; experience in Northwood University supported software packages preferred; must be a well-rounded individual with good project management skills and can work with a variety of academic, administrative and technical personnel to determine quality of service and identify needs.
