Harlan Cohen, Best-Selling Author, Packs the Turner Auditorium

A select group of students were chosen to dine with Harlan Cohen prior to the presentation.

Harlan Cohen packed the house with over 220 students in the Turner Auditorium on Tuesday, September 29th. Students in attendance quickly realized that Harlan's presentation was going to be unique and one that would make a direct and useful impact to their everyday lives. Northwood brought Harlan to campus to provide students with insight about college life, taking risks, getting comfortable with the uncomfortable, but most importantlyfacing challenges and being proud of the decision one makes. Harlan draws from his past college experiences, but most of his research is done by visiting over 300 universities/colleges and interacting with more than 1000 students. He is a best-selling author of three books, professional speaker, musician, as well as one of the most widely read and respected male syndicated advice columnists in the country. If you missed out on his advice and downright hilarious event, please view his website www.nakedroommate.com or purchase his book, The Naked Roommate: And 107 Other Issues You Might Run Into in College. Whether you attended the event for extra credit, EXCEL credit, or simply because you were interested, all attendees left the Turner Auditorium with practical advice on handling the most uncomfortable situations one could find themselves in. It was a night not to be missed.
