The Financial Aid Clerk will function as the first point of contact for the students and parents and will provide answers to questions regarding financial aid eligibility and applicable application requirements of federal/state and/or institutional aid.  Clerk will work cohesively within a team environment while providing quality customer service to students, parents and department staff.

The Financial Aid Clerk will be expected to perform the following duties: process financial aid files for the awarding of Federal, State, and Institutional aid; maintain student financial aid data using the Datatel Colleague system; perform electronic processing of Institutional Student Aid Records (ISIRS); request additional information when applicable; perform maintenance of awards.

Position requires: excellent communications skills, both verbal and written; skilled in working with both personal computers and with mainframe systems; flexibility to be able to work in an ever-changing environment; demonstrated top notch customer service skills and demeanor; willingness to learn, follow instructions, and to ask for direction; attention to detail; must be able to multitask.  Will be required to demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and software/computer working knowledge.

The System Director is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state and institutional rules and regulations, budget and fund management and the development and documentation of policies and procedures. The System Director reports to the Vice President of Finance and is an active member of the University's enrollment management team. The System Director oversees and works collaboratively with the three campus Financial Aid Directors, whose offices award aid totaling over $50 million. System Director will coordinate all financial aid issues for the University.  The System Director is the primary contact for the United States Department of Education and auditors. With IT support, the System Director is responsible for financial aid automated systems, imaging system, student portal and website content. Director must demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the integration of electronic systems and software.  The System Director plays a key role in forecasting trends and must possess solid computer, analytical, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.  Candidates should have a master's degree and a minimum of seven years of progressive financial aid experience in a college setting.  Bachelor degree candidates will be considered based upon experience.

Northwood University is seeking an Assistant Director of Financial Aid at our Cedar Hill, Texas campus. This position requires a comprehensive knowledge of Title IV programs, strong organizational and management skills and excellent customer relations skills. The Assistant Director counsels students, awards federal and institutional aid, certifies student and parent loans and helps manage the Federal Work Study program. This individual will work collaboratively with other campus departments and assume responsibility for Financial Aid Office in the absence of the Director. This position requires a bachelor's degree and minimum of five years progressive financial aid experience; strong working knowledge of MS Office; excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills and availability to work occasional evenings and weekends. Experience with Datatel's Colleague software is a plus.

Northwood University, Cedar Hill, TX, campus is accepting applications for a Head athletic trainer. Trainer will: act as a first responder on the field when sports injuries occur during practice and contests; provide for the prevention, evaluation, immediate treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Trainer will be expected to: attend all home contests; consult with AD and coach in determining decisions related to game cancellations due to weather; make final decision when athlete should be withdrawn and return to competition; make appropriate decisions in the course of catastrophic injuries, establish and coordinate responsibilities for the student assistant; process injury insurance claims; develop individual rehabilitation and proper hydration programs, administer drug testing program; maintain necessary athlete files and medical inventory supplies. Require; Bachelor's degree, Licensed Athletic Trainer in the State of Texas, Knowledge of throwing and distance related stress injuries, ability to recognize and stabilize joint injuries, Red Cross certification in the use of CPR/AED. Prefer Certified Red Cross instructor.
