Criteria

The Graduate Admissions Committee strongly recommends international applicants to apply by July 1 to allow admitted candidates ample time to address pre-requisite course work, language, visa, housing, and financial issues.

All of the following items must be submitted for consideration:
  • DeVos MBA Online Application
  • Personal Statement
  • Current Verifiable Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV) with three professional references
  • Two Letters of Recommendation (minimum)
  • Official Transcripts
    • Transcripts must be sent to the DeVos Graduate School Admissions by posted mail directly from each of your undergraduate institutions
    • Transcripts must indicate degree awarded and verification of completion
    • Transcripts not in English must be accompanied by a certified literal English translation and grading system explanation
  • $50.00 Application Fee (USD)
  • Official TOEFL or IELTS Scores if English is not your first language
    • Not required if ALL your undergraduate instruction was in English
  • Certification of Finances Form
    • Submit copy of Official Bank Verification with this form
  • Foreign National Information Form
    • Required for issuance of I-20
  • Copy of your passport
Degree:
  • 4-year Bachelor's Degree
    • Any discipline balanced with a core of general education courses.
  • 3-year Degree BComm or BsC
    • Must be 1st or 2nd Class (assessment could be made on individual basis).
    • If it is determined by DeVos personnel that prerequisite courses are required, the student must take prerequisite courses which begin in May prior to the September program start each year.
Tests:
  • TOEFL Score - (Candidates from non-English speaking countries)
    • Paper-based (550 minimum)
    • Internet-based (79 minimum
  • IELTS Score  - (Candidates from non-English speaking countries)
    • Overall band score of 7.0 or above
Experience:
  • Work Experience
    • Prior work experience is not required
  • Prior work experience is not required
Optional:
  • Official GMAT Score (optional if interested in a GMAT Merit Scholarship)
  • Application for DeVos Merit Scholarship
Other Considerations:
  • Due to the academic rigor of the MBA Program, applicants are strongly encouraged to complete quantitative introductory courses in areas such as accounting, finance, economics, and statistics prior to entrance. Some candidates may have their acceptance to the MBA Program contingent upon taking such courses prior to enrollment.
  • In view of the participatory nature of the MBA Program, students must possess a highly developed proficiency in English. Applicants must be able to speak, write, and comprehend English fluently.  Only candidates from non-English speaking countries are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
  • TOEFL and IELTS tests are not required if ALL undergraduate instruction was done in English.

Verification Notice: The Richard DeVos Graduate School of Management will verify application information and reserves the right to withdraw any offer of admission already made if there is any discrepancy between the self-reported information and information provided through verification.

As you submit your application to the Richard DeVos Graduate School of Management, please be aware of the following policies:

  • Applicants are responsible for ensuring that their application is complete.
  • The completed application becomes the confidential property of the Richard DeVos Graduate School of Management and is not returnable.
  • Applicants are responsible for ensuring that all the information and accompanying material provided in connection with their application is authentic and accurate.
  • Transcripts must be “official,” meaning that the transcript was generated directly by the student’s institution and sent directly to the Richard DeVos Graduate School of Management. Transcripts sent directly by students are not considered official.
  • The Richard DeVos Graduate School of Management may at any time require applicants to provide satisfactory verification of the information and documents submitted as part of their application. If an applicant is unable to do so, the school reserves the right to cease consideration of the application, to withdraw any offer of admission already made, and/or to terminate one's status as a student.
  • Applicants assume all costs for authenticating and verifying documents and information associated with their application.
