Living on campus is an exciting time! It's a great time for you to meet nfl31ew people, learn about other cultures, and spend more time interacting with the staff and faculty. Living close means you can easily attend athletic functions, have greater access to tools and resources, and stay connected to the campus activities.

Facilities

fl35The apartments have a living room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two study rooms. Normal occupancy is considered to be two students per room and four students per apartment while space is available.  Should  there not be enough space for everyone to have a double room, doubles will be assigned through a priority system based upon the dates the commitment deposits are received. Housing Forms

In order to apply for housing for the 2009-2010 academic year, a student must download the application, contract , and agreement forms. If a student wishes to reside off campus, they must submit a copy of the housing waiver from (*please note that a student must meet at least one of the conditions on the form in order to be considered eligible).

The forms may be faxed to 561.681.7965, sent via postal to Northwood University 2600 N. Military Trail West Palm Beach, Florida 33409 or sent electronically as a scanned PDF Image to ResLifeFl@northwood.edu.

Partnerships

Health & Wellness Center

Medical assistance is available for all students through the Health and Wellness Center, located in room 1102, in the Stauffer Residential Complex. The staff provides basic services to treat both immediate and chronic minor medical issues. The staff can also provide assistance with contacting appropriate community health care professionals to address more serious medical needs.

A registered nurse is available from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday to treat minor injuries and illnesses. A certified athletic trainer, located in the Countess de Hoernle Student Life Center, addresses sports injuries and treatment modalities for varsity athletes. A medical doctor is available for necessary referrals and is on-campus on Tuesdays from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. to see students. The nurse will schedule appointments for students to see the doctor. A licensed mental health counselor is available by appointment on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Northwood University abides by HIPAA rules and regulations.

Dining Services

The Dining Hall is located in Dalby Commons. The University offers three meal plans. The plans include:fl20

  • 19 meals per week
  • 150 meals per term
  • 120 meals per term

The student's Northwood I.D. serves as their meal card, and must be swiped by a member of the dining services staff each time the student comes to the dining hall for a meal. The Business Office will mail you a Fall term bill in July. Meal plans will then be selected.
